Meet the Team
Shreyan Sunkari (Founder, Director & Event Operator)
“Hi my name is Shreyan Sunkari. I am currently a senior at John Randolph Tucker in Richmond, Virginia. I found I had dyslexia when I was in 6th grade and experienced my fair share of struggles. I created Eulexic given that I knew that I was not the only one that was facing challenges that dyslexia had thrown at me. In my progression to achieving higher levels of reading comprehension I give a lot of credit to my mom. She sat with me almost everyday and acted as a mentor to help me achieve each win and push through the tough roadblocks. Over time, I learned how to overcome persistent challenges as well as embrace my identity. This brings me to my second reason for creating Eulexic. There is a common misconception that dyslexia is some kind of disease or disability. However, this is not true at all. In fact I often give credit to dyslexia for my various feats because of the creativity and analytical thinking it instilled in me. I want people with dyslexia to be proud of who they are and realize the potential they can contribute to this world of endless opportunities.”
Gurpaij Tur (Contact and Scheduling Manager)
“Joining the Eulexic family spoke out to me as a community like this was absent in our local area. Being an EMT and having my own initiative in spreading information about ergonomics, I recognize how important it is to hold each others hand when we are in need. That is why I have given my commitment to Eulexic and hope my contribution will make it reach great places. Through my membership and officer experience with Eulexic I have been very grateful to meet all kinds of parents, peers, and learners as well learn more about the misconceptions about dyslexia.”
Sanjana Gollu (Marketing Leader)
“My favorite part of Eulexic is either being a part of or hearing about the wonderful stories about our workshops. Every session we hold it seems like we make a breakthrough and make someone's life a little bit better. This goes to show that we actually care about the progression of our learners and hope they can achieve great things. ”
